Saying what love is like is like saying what a colour is like to someone who has yet to see colours It is the unlikely probability that you will encounter something so strong, the maybe of one too many realities So imagine this - you know they have seen the colour you did not have a chance to see it yourself yet And you think oh these silly fools! You can see how they are blinded by this colour, a colour so pure it compares to none other In a fairy tales it is the softest pink or the strongest red You see how they can't stop grinning and smiling And you shake your heads at their silliness And yet - Yet when you see the colour, my friend, feel this wonderful feeling It becomes the most natural thing to you As if it was always in you, just waiting to be discovered by you Suddenly the probable is very much real And you can call yourself a lucky one Once you discover that feeling you realise there's more than you thought - Love can be, much like the colour spectrum, infinite for that one person It has thousands and thousands of shades, it can be in the dark and light, it can be deep yet tender it can beyond just a desire and well beyond the night, still blooming in the pink hours of dawn. You think how a sunrise has never looked so beautiful - but it is the same; only you have changed, oh look at you, how blinded you are now! But oh - how wonderful it feels, does it not? You will know that you are acting like a fool Such a happy fool Your hand in theirs will be where you want to stay, right here And perhaps endure some more great maybes time is always on our heels with your hand in theirs You will have looked for that colour everyone keeps talking about Once you find it hold onto it Even if it's just for a while You will walk this earth As blind as you have become Your hand in theirs With a love so incomprehensible and yet so simple A love so intense that it goes beyond our sight and goes deep down That makes all our organs soft And our bones all crazy Your hand in theirs, right here is the place where you will want to watch the sunrise for the rest of your life. So look out for that, friend, or else it will just pass you by.
