I feel envy for the birds Soaring through the baby blue skies With wind underneath their wings carrying them over seas, then oceans Their heads blank; Nothing to think Nothing to worry In their tiny hearts they carry a primal love for their own that keeps them going. feed; be fed; a love so unconditional us humans struggle with so much If we were to watch the soaring creatures in the sky Maybe we would have the answers we needed all along If they were to look down upon us They would wonder; how can a mind so small worry so big? how can a body so tall make themselves so small? Because they don't falter Tall they swim, then fly Their wings wide With chests swollen with pride I can't help to think that they know very well of our jealousy I think I heard them laughing Their beaks clicking loudly When they look down on us To the stick figures that we are to them With a mind too heavy to bear for them - for anyone, really
